This is yet another industry that realizes the importance that thermo-plastics can have. With some of the same concepts as the automotive industry, such as fuel efficiency and heat resistance, the aerospace community has developed further needs and uses for thermo-plastics.
Drag
Aerodynamics are important in many fields, but not quite as important as in the aerospace market. By using thermo-plastics to streamline a variety of parts for airplanes and other aerospace equipment there is an obvious improvement in over all drag. It creates quite an impact to the aircraft’s composite structure to allow designers to maximize cabin comfort while minimizing drag and therefore improve overall performance.
