Master Scheduler
 
The Master Scheduler will be responsible for ordering of all raw material and scheduling required for the timely manufacture of finished goods in the right priorities utilizing MRP software that achieves acceptable customer service goals, planned inventory levels and efficient utilization of available facility capacity. Responsible for monitoring production to ensure the schedule is being met and all customer orders are satisfied.

 Years Experience: 5-10 years

Pay Type: Salary $45 - $55k per year

 
Requirements:
· Bachelors degree or 10+ year manufacturing/planning experience preferred
· Strong familiarity with Manufacturing Processes
· Strong businessprocess understanding as well
· Ability to work cross-functionally
· Team builder
· Strong leadership skills
· Strong self-motivator
· Experience with computerized MRP manufacturing environment
· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex material issues within the company.
· Excellent oral and written communications skills.
· Highly skilled in data analysis, manipulation, and presentation, to include software skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access.
· Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
· Knowledge of Quality Systems – ISO 14001, TS 16949
· Knowledge of Kanban System preferred.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
·         Manage MRP software setup and maintenance related to capacity, material & production planning
·         Participate in the creation of a valid Master Production Schedule that is connected with manufacturing capacity constraints.
·         Short/medium term capacity and production planning.
·          Schedule production orders and replenishment shipments using scheduling and planning tools (e.g., MRP, Kanban, etc.).
·         Order all raw material necessary to meet manufacturing schedule consistent with Customer demand.
·         Track and control inventory levels that enable the company to achieve business plan targets.
·         Liaison for inventory control  
·         Conduct inventory management processes, including turns improvement and reduction of slow moving inventory.
·         Participate in capacity planning activities associated with the Sales and Operations Plan, Master Schedule, Materials Requirement Plan, and Dispatch List levels of planning.
·         Coordinate and communicate cross functionally with Sales and Marketing, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to incorporate customer and business requirements into Production Planning.
·         Ensure coordination with outsourced manufacturing activities to the Master Schedule.
·          Measure and communicate supplier delivery metrics.
·          Develop tools that will provide visibility to shortages and prioritize requirements.
·         Analyze and troubleshoot problems in planning and execution, and generate alternatives to resolve both internal and external processing constraints.
·          Understand and apply methods to create continuous and operational excellence, Lean, Kaizen, Kanban, performance scorecard.

Production Supervisor
 
Diversified Engineering and Plastics, located in Jackson, MI. is seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team. This successful candidate will report to the Manufacturing Manager. The main responsibility of the Production Supervisor is to work with and train the production team to meet production schedules and goals. A high level of technical skill and process knowledge is essential to be successful in the position. 
Candidates must also have 2+ years in a supervisory role, 2+ years experience in injection molding, possess a driver’s license, and have a high school diploma.
Additional desirable skills include mechanical inclination, knowledge of automotive quality systems, fork lift license, and ability to use Microsoft office programs.

Material Handler

 

The Material Handler is responsible for accurately managing the materials needed (resins, components) on the production floor.  This is an hourly, full time position.  Essential duties of the position include:

  • Moving, loading, and unloading material on the production floor to work stations
  • Accurately scanning finished goods into the inventory database (QAD)
  • Fill out and maintain blending logs and material traceability logs
  • Set up dryers, grinders, and material feeders
  • Helps to maintain housekeeping standards on the production floor
  • Pull samples for moisture testing
  • Document process changes and equipment failure problems
  • Make boxes and label totes

Also, Cadidates must have a high school diploma or GED, have the ability to solve math problems, posess or be able to obtain a fork truck license, and be able to interact with operators, supervisors, and the management clearly and professionally.
